3/4 c sugar
1 (14 oz) Can sweetened condensed milk
4 Whole Large Eggs
4 Large Egg Yolks
2 1/2 c. milk
dash of salt
1 pod of vanilla bean seeds /Vanilla extract
To make the caramel: Melt sugar in a pan on medium-high heat turning pan constantly until melted evenly. Make sure not to cook to long just until golden.
Pour melted Caramel while hot into flan pan (usually a pie pan) and coat the bottom and sides of the pan set aside while preparing the flan.
To make the flan:
Add all the other ingredients and blend until evenly mixed. Pour into prepared pan.
Add flan pan to larger pan filled about 1 inch with hot water.
Bake at 350' F until a sharp knife can be inserted and come out clean.
Let Flan Chill before serving loosen sides and turn out upside down on Large plate.
