I'm not sure any of the layout/designs I started with will be helpful? Would definitely need to revamp using dimensions of window you obtain.
I found a couple very cheap windows on craigslist. I thought it'd have a garden top at first but then decided that'd be too high to maintain.
My wife and I were looking at homes of the surrealists. Frida Kahlo's house (colors mainly) definitely influenced.

Had to get rid of a nice bit of shrubbery first. Shame to see it go but the roosts were made from the branches. Recycle right?!

Attached the floor and the roof to the 4 4x4s, added some support, the walls, painted, added the windows, hinged the front window for an easy cleanout, and on the floor of the coop is a sliding door (no pic, sorry) that allows me to close the coop up when necessary. ramp stays in place. decided to make it three doors so my young girls can open without it being too heavy and knocking them in the face or something. and can add a latch in future if I want so that only one is necessary.

You can kind of make out the sliding door in these pics but not very well. Can see the 3 egg doors. That's a chalkboard paint above. We decided to paint the ladies names on it.
see below. Will likely use it to track egg production or...just for fun.

was going to do a rippled roof but getting the roofing home from Lowes became too expensive and I was trying my best to make it "found" materials. A good deal of this is.
well, I bought more than I thought I would. Sand was more money than I wanted to spend!

I was just going to use a basic latch but liked the wooden turn handle for color. Modified a water cooler bottle with nipples purchased on eBay.
Blocks picked up on Freecycle...wish the dang sand was free heh.
Still some landscaping to be done. These flowers have already been moved. My wife hung some terracotta pots with the marigolds.

My daughters made a painting for the coops interior. and there's the handsome designer/builder now.
The ladies are still a bit young but they have been running around taking dust baths in the sand and loving it.

I've enjoyed looking at so many here...thought I'd share mine as well.
Thanks everyone!
