I am thoroughly enjoying raising chickens...who knew... I am totally addicted.
Just started with my first Rhode Island Reds in November 2010, and I now have... lots of different breeds:
Rhode Island Reds; Easter Eggers; Silver Laced Wyandottes; Buff Orpingtons; Silkies; Polish;
We just welcomed 3 new baby chicks to our flock and 3 young Buff silkies !
I've learned the best way is to raise each critter from birth, or as close to it as you can. What an experience!
