This is Easter Chicken (yes we always call her by her full name). My daughter named her because she is an Easter Egger. She is 7 months old. She is the sweetest member of our flock. She always is the first to run full speed when you go out to the yard. She loves us so much she tries to roost on our porch every night, and every night I have to bring her to the hen house.
Marigold is an Australorp. Also 7 months old and yet to lay any eggs although she is the biggest girl. She is always on the lookout for the flock. She is in charge of everyone, and very vocal. She loves to be sung to!
Winter is our only one currently laying eggs - still an egg a day. She is a silver laced Wyandotte. She doesn't like to be held and is the first to run away. She is very aggressive when it comes to treats and will chase the others away to eat them all. Mealworms are her very favorite thing!
