we bought home some chickens, 5 hens and 1 rooster. our flock did quite increase after that. we purchased them for egglaying and chiks, but we didn't have the right incubator and the chickens couldnt do it as due to the outside temprature was cold. we slowly raised te chickens, getting eggs, andd always trying to hatch chicks, only twice out of many times did we manage to get chicks. we soon divided our flock into two cages, one only hens, for egg laying, and the other one with a rooster, for chicks. we bought some more chickens, but the stories start from here.

our first rooster, father to all chicks we had, is currently retired, but his youth story is great. he allowed us to come near him, but didn't allow us to touch him. he was comfortable having us in the coop, till we started removing broody hens for the eggs, he would attack us that time. he crowed all day long, and was great against his girls. he had a personal favorite, who we gonna talk about ater, and we also think she is the alpha hen. we named him Mausin, and Mausin was a good father. though he was pretty lean, he had many feathers ((and still has). when it rains he becomes slim and very lean ddue to his feathers get all wet. he is now in a different cage, repllaced by the new rooster, we have kept him still, just testing if the new roo is getting babies, then we wil do something about mausin.

here is mausin:

he is in his new cage.

here is ice, mausin's wife who is now not by me. she is also a unknown breed, and we got her with mausin. she had a nice temproment, and lived with mausin. she was kept with mausin when wwe got her, but after she started laying, she was moved to the other only hens coop. she lived there, and got broody many times. we again soon shifted her to the rooster coop, for chicks and she stayed there till retired. she was a good broody hen. she ran from us like mad. here is ice:

now time for mercedes! she is a mutt, aswell. she was also likee ice, ran like mad. she had a very pretty coloring, and we got chicks like her too. she spent a life like ice, shifted, as well she is also retired now. she loved treats such as mealworms, and other insects. she was a no#1 garden destroyer!
i dont have a picture of her, she was never allowing me to snap her!

now i will go to annie, my private favorite and friend! she is the only one from these who alowed us to hold her. she is pretty freindly, and lovs cuddles. he stays with the lock, is adventures, and loves treats aswell.
here is she:

annie has stopped laying, but we still keep her as a old pet.

now come to browny. she was a little small, along with her sister snowy. she later got triggered with mites and almost died, but survived and was still alive today. she was anyway a bully, she hit all chickens, and also didnt allow anyone to eat. she is know sold. i dont have pic of her, she didnt allow me to

snowy's story is a sad story. she was small along with browny, and got sick, had mites, and died. she was a alovely chicken, and it was fun to watch her doing her funnny stuff. i still miss her today.

i dont have her pics as she died a long time ago.

later i got more chickens, i will show you the rooster.

alpha's story:
alpha was bought with some other native chickens, at the age of only 6 weeks. we kept him and raised him, and he is now 67 months and has his own flock to handle too! here is he:

alpha is very gentle, allows us to pick him up, and is very freindly. he is a very sweet rooster, and is a great pet and friend.

i end the stories now, as i got many chickens, i cant write about them all.
