In the begining... we ordered some chicks from a local hatchery. We didn't know what we wanted so we ordered an assortment. Of course, then we couldn't wait for them to get her so we built an incubator and got some eggs from a friend. We raised the babies in a plastic tote in my bathroom till it was warm enough for the m to go outside.
My kids built a playpen so everyone could get some sun. We haven't built our run yet.
Their first time on real grass.
One of our little Dutch Bantams jumped up to go for a ride on our Silkie hen
Everyone seemed to really enjoy the sun.
