    UPDATE 2015:
Radbird now lives indoors and LOVES it!! She is best buds with my mom's dog and playfights often, and loves to piss off the cats whenever possible XD She is the biggest cuddle monster and will try to sneak onto your lap and beg for pets [IMG]

This is Miss Rad, she is a Modern Game / Hatch cross hen and just turned 1yo on the fourth of November!
She was a christmas present from my Best friend's Grandfather, I named her Radagast the brown (Wizard from the Hobbit) Thinking she was a rooster.. and while she does crow every afternoon.. she lays an egg everyday!! I started calling her Rad because it felt a bit girlier [IMG]

Moderns are just a sweet friendly breed to begin with, and my pair just stole my heart. Thank you so much for sharing her story!

She sure is pretty with those gold tinged feathers around her neck. My Welsummers have feathers almost like hers.

Good looking bird. Looks strong,, as in mentally, like a survivor way but at the same gentle.
What does Hatch mean in "Modern Game / Hatch?
I've never heard of that in referring to a breed. Only like when "...they're gona hatch soon."

I'm not sure what to call it :p She has always been VERY dominant, but then one day she nearly killed one of the other birds! A couple weeks later she started crowing.. however she is still a daily layer! It is VERY rare but occaisionally in the absence of a rooster a hen can take on male characteristics... She is still very much female!!

did she have a "gender switch"?
