It seems like it's taken forever but the prize is in sight
The Chook House and run is nearing completion, 4 Barnvalder pullets are ordered and should be here the end of October.

Well the adventure started about 2 1/2 years ago with the coop frame being built in the shed
Then my partner informed me that she thought it was to big for our yard
So plans of 8 - 10 chickens changed to only 4 and the coop was broken down and remade into the one in the photo

Next stage is to install corrugated iron around the bottom of the run fencing and bury it into the ground to try and stop foxes, rats, mice and snakes from getting into the coop.
The roof of the run will be covered with corrugated iron and Laserlite
