I am a member of a 4H poultry group, and I raise chickens as one of my projects. The Nankin is a breed that is not in the APA's Standard of Perfection, but is still showable at county fairs under the class of bantams. Nankins are extremely rare, and hard to breed due to low fertility, but the hens are very good mothers, and are often used to incubate the eggs of game birds such as quail or pheasant.
