Our Coop
"Still in Progress"
This is the coop that my 17 year old son and I have built to home our chickens. When we built it with the "easy to maintain" in mine. I designed the roost so that the dropping will fall into the run so we don't have to clean out the coop as often as most people. I am also building a brooder and holding pen inside of the coop along with a storage area to keep the chicks supplies in. It has 8 nesting boxes, 2 entry doors, and a entry door for the chickens. I also included two windows for cross ventilation and another door under the roost area that I can close in case of severe weather. There is still some odds and ends that I want to finish such as paint, trim, wire for lighting, and insulate.
