I started off with laying down treated 4x4's, 16' long and 6' wide to make the run. Then I put framing 2x4's on top of those, then I started on the coop, it is 2 ft. off the ground, made out of rough cut board and batten. the coop is 6' wide x 5' long. and 6' to 5' high inside the coop. The nesting box are on the outside of the coop ( 3 nest ). on the floor I have vinyl sheeting, for easy clean up. in the run I will be doing the deep litter method, and on the coop floor I am using pine shavings. not shown in the pictures, I installed a arched tarp over the run, and clear tarps on the two long sides of the run, plenty of ventilation, the pictures are not in any order. since these pictures were taken I have added more 24/7 ventilation above the rear door and above the front under the eve.

I just wanted to say that looks fabulous! Any chicken there would have fun! I had to put wiring under my coop too.
