We have three Wyandotte pullets....they are three different color variations.

Partridge...this is Tina.

Silver Laced.....Juanita

And a Blue Laced Red Black....that's a mouth full.....Oprah.

They come running whenever we go into the shed where the scratch and BOSS is stored or when outside dining occurs...

Want at that plate full of ribs...

Pecking scratch outside the shed...

We had no idea how much we would enjoy these little girls and we aren't even getting eggs yet! Oprah started squatting last week so maybe we're close.

They spend the night in a dog kennel I converted for chicken use....

Added an egg drawer but no luck yet...

They also routinely check out the humans house...this door is right next to the computer I'm typing on.

Free ranging the backyard...

This is their run....

Here's Oprah bolting from the coop in the morning...

Anyway, thanks for looking! These photos of the chickens are a couple of weeks old so I'll post up some more when they mature a little bit more...

Just after I posted this, Oprah laid her first egg. While it was only 75 degrees here she was panting heavily so I got her a bowl of ice water which she drank greedily. They're not spoiled...

In between drinks she sang us the egg song.....

She seemed quite pleased with her first egg although I would call it Bantam sized.
