I have loved all animals my whole life. I can't even tell you all the diffrent animals I have saved since I was little. If I had my way we would be living on a farm with all kinds of animals. Animals are a big part of my life and I can't imagine life without them. As of today we have a total of 7 cats, 1 dog, a hamster, a fish, 2 bantam hens, 1 bantam rooster, and 7 babies. If I was allowed to own more I soooo would. So it's probably a good thing I have a husband with restrictions for me. Haha.
I have owned a few bantam chickens for the last year. This is the first time I have ever done this but I am in love with them all! I have 2 hens and a rooster. The rooster and my hen with feathers on it's feet made 9 babies. So far, 7 of them have made it. 6 of the babies have been in their own house and the mother has been raising them. She is such a good momma. However, 3 days after all the others were born...one more little chick hatched. I noticed right away that the momma didn't want anything to do with s/he so I took it out and made a little house for it in with the family and I. I am not sure why the mom didn't like it but she went out of her way to attack it. I have since tried sneaking it in with her but she isn't going for it at all! I have stopped trying to even get her to take it in and accepted him living in the family room for a few months.

The mom and babies are doing wonderful. They are 4 weeks old and looking super cute. There are a couple that are real pretty and I can't wait to see what they turn out like. The little one, runt, that is living in the house has started acting real weird. He isn't able to get around without falling. It almost acts like it's drunk. Very wobbly and it even shakes very badly at times. I am not seeing any other symtoms but I am very concerned about it. I have added vitemins to the water and I have even been cooking up a yoke for it a couple times so far. S/he has only been like this for a day. Seems like it's eating and drinking well. But sleeping much more than before.
