Pot Roasted Quail with Citrus Sauce
I just tried this out tonight and it tasted so good, so I thought I'd post it. I had a similar recipe, but I discarded it and made it up as I went it along - with a few of my own touches:
I browned the quails in a pot with a little oil, and poured freshly squeezed orange juice over them. Then I removed them and mixed up the marinade in the same pot.
2 chopped garlic cloves
2 cups water
1 vegie stock cube
Juice from 2 fresh lemons
Pinch of salt
Dash of chilli powder
I stirred and brought it to the boil:
When the sauce was boiled I put the quails back in to soak up the liquid. I replaced the lid and left it until they were thoroughly cooked inside.
