My husband and I had absolutely NO experience with chickens, but he came up with is. I think if we were to do it again, we would make a number of changes (probably shorter and wider) but like how it looks anyway.

The windows and door were donated by a friend who found them rotting in a barn for at least a decade. They required a lot of TLC but I feel the effort was well worth it!

Really nice!! I just changed from "hay" to "sand + poopscoop" 2 weeks ago because of the smell of the poopy hay. With sand it was easier to keep clean and fresh.

This is soo neat. I love the repurposed door and windows. My coop has repurposed door/windows as well. Siding and tin roof. Those materials are so much harder to work with but the results are charming. The inside looks so welcoming for your birds. Well done!

very cool. love your recycling of cat litter containers!!?

Beautiful coop. Depending on your predators ... The only thing I would change is 1/2" hardware cloth in place of the chicken wire. Chicken wire is for keeping chickens out of things not keeping predators away from your chickens.
