We are just finishing up our first coop. It was a weekend project that has taken 4 weekends, but we are so proud of it and can't wait to share all of pics here. We have been studying here for the past 5 months, so we feel we know you all so well already. We are getting two barred rocks to start off with and adding 2 more hens in a couple of weeks.

So we have our chickens and love raising our Priddy Birds. We have 2 BR's and 2 RIR's, Rocky, Sillyhead, Rosy and Goldilocks. We are a homeschool family and the care of the chickens is a school project for our 8 year old son. He is quite the critter lover!
[FONT=comic sans ms,sand] Our 10 year old daughter likes that he does all the dirty work, and she can just enjoy the chickens. We have fortified the fence around the backyard so our girls can free-range. Every little project we do to make this experience more beneficial seems to cost about $100, but I hate to think of life without our girls. [/FONT]
