I'm so fancy.....Charasmatic, intelligent, talkative, and self assured. Sicialian buttercup was NOT on my list of must have backyard chicken breeds but I was so taken with this chick! So glad we did, this girl is couragous, first to try most everything of the girls. She is most enthusiastic about free ranging (AKA rototiller) and trying to find a way to perch on my shoulder :) We enjoy her different body shape as well as her princess peacock crown.

This girl has become my favorite chicken! Smart and sassy, big beautiful brown eyes. She is super affectionate and jumps into any lap for snuggles several times a day, still likes to hang out on your shoulder when she can. She can and does fly several feet but sticks close to home thank goodness.

She lays a pointy tinted white egg in the nestboxes almost every day, sometimes with a noisy song and so far shows no interest in being broody. I am so grateful to have such a cool chick in our flock!

We post pictures on instagram also, so if you are a #chickencrazylady like me, stop by for daily pictures of my flock........

I've been thinking of having chickens and in looking at the breeds I fell in love with these Sicilian Buttercups. And, If I'm lucky enough to have chickens, I plan to have Buttercups
