Raising Guinea fowl 101: A beginners guide to raising Guinea fowl

Such nice information on guineas. I've lost guineas, and I've hatched some. Right now I have a flock of ten.
Thank you for writing this!
I love that this article is so informative and to the point yet the perfect length to keep me reading every single word. No need to write a 10-page essay when all the information can be covered neatly in a few detailed bullet points.

Sorry to say that hearing Guinea noises fixed me on wanting them. LOL I always loved how they look.
This article is definitely useful for those new to guinea fowl. I would recommend you get a few books and / or do more research before getting guineas though. A lot of people live in areas where night time predators are high so outside perching at night would be a death sentence. Raising guineas with chicken takes some advance planning but it is not impossible.
nice article. what is the right ratio between male and female?

good information, written in a very straightforward easy to understand manner. Good to see some writing on guinea fowl, too. Not as popular of a farm companion, so harder to find info on them

thank you!

I've been thinking of raising a flock of Guineas, so I was happy to see this article. It was a great read, well written and informative.
I love this article because it told me a lot of things I did not know about Guinea. I didn't know the babies were so fragile, and that they would eat mice. I've been thinking of getting a few Guineas and now I can make a more informed decision.
Certianly helped me get more mentally prepared for my Guineas coming in June. :)
I'll echo what @N F C said. I've been thinking about raising some and your article was very helpful. I never would have thought such a large flock is ideal.
Overall a good job.
OhMaGosh! I've wanted guineas forever, and this article just made it worse for me, 'cause I can't! I'm very lucky that my neighbors are rooster-tolerant. I don't think I can stretch them far enough to accept these not-so-little noisemakers, as well. But a gal can dream. In the meantime, I can just keep playing the wonderful call-videos in this article!
Very elaborate and looks like it covers all aspect of their care.
Very good information on guinea fowl!
