My husband and I just moved here from Minnesota and I started my first flock.
I am a full time artist and he works in the medical industry. He is not a big "chicken" fan and was not keen on having them. I ventured on my own and he is definately on board. I am sure once the eggs start coming in, he will be more enthusiastic about them being part of our lives.
We have two horses, three dogs, a cat, canaries, and fish, so we have quite the mini farm to begin with.
I have two Barred Rocks, 2 Silkies, 1 Buff Orp, 1 Australorp, 2 Cuckoo Marans, and 1 Ameruacana. They are all about 5-8 weeks old and growing like weeds. They live in my studio until they are ready to be outside at the moment. More pics of the last three will be taken today.
