Preface:
I was never a bird person. I remember my neighbor having all kinds of pheasants, peacocks and chickens and I just hated them. They were noisy and dirty. My friend's sister had parakeets I thought were noisy, a pain in the butt and dirty. My gram and pap had chickens. My great grandad has chickens at 92yrs old - he makes his order of 30 or so red sexlinks every year to replace his aging stock. His parents had a turkey and chicken farm. I guess I come from a long line of fowl people (pun intended).
