We started out discussing having chickens for the eggs since I love my eggs and then we considered getting guineas also for tick control. As we set out on this project, we ended up getting guinea eggs (24) and put them in an incubator. Next we did something we probably shouldn't have done, purchased 12 Ringneck Pheasant chicks too. Researching after the fact, we found out that this bird probably isn't the right bird for us and our setup, since we don't have the room for them.
OK, thought I would have time to update this page and keep up with my own webpage also, well that's not working out as you can see. Once I finish the chicken coop, I'll take some time to design this page with my new coop and run, but for now you can visit my own webpage to view photos of the coop. It's located by going to www.riverlizard.com and then clicking on Home Projects....a list will be on the left upper corner, click on Chicken Coop.
