I decided I wanted chickens in July so we built our coop. It is in the coop pages: Rockin' Chick Hotel. I bought 6 three month old Barred Rocks.
This is Sylvie, and chicken butts the six Barred Rocks are all named after old second generation aunts.
.
More chicken butts and the chicken guardian. They were dusting right next to the log wher the cat lays.
My three Silkies: Tina Turner, Reba, and Selena.
May 2013, I received my chick order from Murray McMurray. I only wanted a few but couldn't get what I wanted here at the same time. As it is I had 3 golden laced polish that are 2 weeks older than the ones I ordered. One polish went to my daughter and I kept the other two. One of which has a very twisted beak but her weight is still almost the same as the other so we'll see. I also don't know if they are boys or girls or? They were straight run. The ones I ordered from Murray McMurray are sexed. Photos to follow with the chick breeds on each photo.
This is Tweaker, whose beak is very bad.
This is Diller, as in Phyllis
The pictures are of the same bird, just a different shot. I have one of each breed and two of the Gold Laced Polish.
