Hello! I live in Upstate NY and have been raising a flock of egg layers for 8 years. We currently have 16 hens, 1 rooster, 6 3 week old chicks, and 40 eggs in the incubator that are set to hatch 7/12/11. We have quite a variety of chickens...everything from red stars, rhode island reds, buff orpingtons, black australorp and americauna's. Our newest chicks are bantam silkies, speckled sussex and barred rock.

I'm a stay at home mom to 6, proud wife, homeschooling mama, foster parent, adoptive parent and lover of animals, gardening, canning, etc. In addition to the chickens we also own 2 goats, a dog, 3 cats and a fish!
