I am a 28 year old wife and mother of 2. I have recently become very interested in the idea of sustainable farming. I have always grown up with animals, taking in strays, and growing up on my grandparents farm. I am passionate about what I put into my family's and my own bodies. That is just not possible when we purchase all of our food from chain grocery stores.
Recently, my husband and I have become lacto ovo vegetarian's and with the help of our 3 little chicks (hopefully, all hens) in a few months we will be able to provide our own sustainable egg and fertilizer supply.
Since, this is my first foray into chicken raising on my own, I know I will have many questions and I came to this friendly forum for helpful answers. Thanks in advance!!!
