We took the shed at the back of the garden, and added a coop to the side.. The nice part is that we got to use a bit of the shed, that was barely being used anyway to put a nice insulated roost for winter and a set of pop out nest boxes that we can collect from inside the shed. Plus, the shed got organized, and we were able to store all of the coop cleaning supplies and chicken food.
There are 3 doors to outside so they can get to a secure small pen behind the coop, a larger fenced area without overhead cover around the side and back, or out to run the yard and garden when we`re outside hanging out.
All of this to adopt two ladies... but everyone loves them.. even the dog, sort of...
