Silkied Ameraucana are standard size, pure Ameraucana that carry the hookless gene for silkie feathering. These for me, have been just as hardy as my regular Ameraucana and I am very happy with them. Hatched my 1st black silkied chicks in January 2013 and will use those to work on lavender silkied later this year. Most of mine right now are blue, splash is my favorite. I got my 1st 4 birds in January 2012. I spent last year being very selective with my breeding and what I was keeping to move forward with and it was a slow process. As of Feb 1st, I have 14 silkied chicks I am growing out with more on the way! Most are blue with a few black and splash.
