[FONT=comic sans ms,sand]Greetings, fellow Chicken Lovers! I'm Holly Alarcon, an artist recently moved to No. Austin TX from Los Angeles CA, and thrilled to be here! I used to have a flock of 5 hens in Calif., but now I'm starting over with two 2-month old chickens, a barred rock & an araucana; and 4 chicks: 1 each cuckoo marans, ameraucana, partridge cochin, and dominique. My 22-year-old daughter lives with me. Between us, we also have: 5 chinchillas and 2 babies; 5 cats [3 rescues]; 2 rabbits, the fierce, obnoxious Bunzilla & a docile Jersey Wooley; 2 hedgehogs; a short-tailed possum; and Peaches the sugar glider. Laura would love a peahen, but with the hellacious calls they make? no way. I am currently trying to come up with a chicken tractor and/or coop made from my metal storage shed. Not being handy or clever with construction, I am looking forward to getting ideas and inspiration from you all. Wait, I'm in Texas now: y'all!
