Sorry it’s been a long while since I last posted. Let me give you an update on their progress. My chickens are doing great. We used to have 11 chickens but two died. The two that died were Fidget the Silkie and Martha the Faverolle chicken. We had to sell the white cockerel male, which I renamed him Cody instead of Cindy Lou. We have 8 chickens left. The bigger birds, the 4 Rhode Island Reds and the bigger Cuckoo Maran started laying eggs in August of this year and the three younger birds, the smaller Cuckoo Maran, the Faverolle and the Black Asian Sex Link started laying eggs in September of this year. They are doing great! Very healthy, happy birds. If you’d like to know all their names, just let me know! We’ve been feeding them lettuce, tomato, watermelon, grass, hay, bread, cake without icing, shedded carrots, chicken scratch, dried cracked corn and egg laying pellets. We’ve been giving them fresh water and food every day. We haven’t clipped their wings yet or clipped their nails. They are very happy birds.
