We are retired foster parents, and when all the children left we re-homed our animals thinking that this plan was part of our "new life." Well, I missed the birds too much to go on any longer without the fun!
A friend I've found on BYC has shared her chick order with me, so now I'm raising 10 pullets: Buff Orpingtons, Ameracaunas (maybe-it's hard to tell), Barred Rocks, Black Stars, and Silver-Laced Wyandottes.
I now have a Trio of what appears to be sharp-looking Hamburg bantams. You may offer your opinion of their breeding in the forum, if you wish. And you're welcome to visit me on my blog. See ya there!
Since the last post we have moved and now live chicken-less in a small town. I found homes for the 2 gnarly goats and my small flock and now only manage my wonderful husband and 1 dog. The chicken-less status may change, the small town status probably will not.
