Update: 14th march 2010 I now only have one white silkie pullet as we had to cut down on them - I sold the parents of the white silkie to a breeder who was very happy with them.
This silkie is called Snowflake as she was a winter born chick - i'm currently looking for another chicken (bantam size) to to with her, she is going to be our incubator
Here she is with some of the chicks she was born with, they are triple the size of her now
Well the silkie in the pictures above turned out to be a roo see below
so i went out and bought 2 more hens a white silkie and a silkie x cochin and well the silkie is starting to look like a roo also, i'm having no luck these days
Some new pictures 3/11/2010

9th June 2011,
we had to cull George as he broke his leg and it just wouldn't heal, he lost loads of muscle and wasn't eating much.
his one and only offspring will take over his job, luckily it was a roo, I've named him George Junior and the other roo is Jacob a araucana cross with a olive egger (welsummer x cream legbar)
