The chicken box (ACK) was built for ~12 hens. I spent a few months building it, with my daughter acting as foreman. It was a blast to build and it's even more fun to see the chickens happy and safe using it.

First things first...had to bring home some peeps.

The coop is 14 X 8 X 7 - plenty of room for the ladies. I used blocks to help level out an area and to keep the wood off the ground.

Always important to make sure you have everything you need...power tools (check), ladder (check), level (check), sleeping baby (check).

The ladies are growing up fast...better hurry up with their house.

The foreman's keeping me on a tight time schedule.

It's starting to take shape.

Forgot to take some in-between photos...too busy I guess.

It was a great year...so we had to celebrate!

The foreman wanted to add some more chicks...so we did.

Had to add some rocks around the coop to help with drainage.

When it's all said and done we get plenty of fun and "free" eggs from our little ladies.
