So, since hubby owns a local Exterior Home Renovations company, he brought home some left over pieces of 4" styrofoam 'board'. Not sure of the exact name and I probably should!
Anyways, he built this all in a days work and the chickens certainly don't complain! This was built and ready to go before the chicks were big enough!
Here it is:
They have a small door and they can get out to their yard. The big door is for me so I can clean it and collect eggs, and change food and water.
