My husband built this coop for our 6 ladies, with enough room to house 8-10 chooks. It took him about a week to build and we used sand in the run, which has been great - keeps their little claws short and desiccates the poop. They (and we!) are very happy with their new space! The area on the right is for nesting boxes and food/etc. storage. They aren't using the nesting boxes yet, but we'll put cedar chips in there when they start. Enjoy and happy building!
