So this is The Egg Plant. It is the culmination of our (my husband and I) imagination and coops that we had seen for sale and done by our friends and family. The roof top/nesting box tops were the limiting factor in the design as we used left over pieces from a gate we had built. We knew at this point we could accommodate about six chickens, but wanted to start with four until we got our "chicken feet" wet. We have about 5 days, fifty hours and the end of our wits invested in this project and are good to go! We went and got our four chickens, Cha Cha, Piglet, Maggie and Nugget over the weekend and are ready to start this adventure... As is our Jack Russell Terrier. Let the fun begin!
