The Hilton Hen House in Howell, MI

  1. 4 Happy Hens
The Hilton Hen.jpg The City of Howell recently approved chicken keeping in our historic city. We were approved in May and began building our Hilton Hen House immediately. My husband built it on site using an outside stair case for the coop support.[IMG]
We have the coop completed with secure fencing, removable upper panels, curtains for the the nesting box, flowers and original art work! [IMG]

The 4 Happy Hens receive fresh food each day in addition to their organic mash. They produce 4 eggs regularly and we often have a super producer that lays two. So we have had 5 eggs in one day several times!

Your coop is ADORABLE and so are your chickies! Congrats on being able to have chickens finally. I'm so glad that so many cities are passing pro-chicken keeping ordinances.

I love that the chickens are getting whole foods in addition to mash. Your son in precious, holding the egg carton.

Nice coop, love the curtains too! Is that a solar lantern by the door? Nice touches throughout!

Congrats, love your coop. I am so glad our little town is not so backwards and allows us to take care of our families and each other through chickening. I hope more will see the benefits of raising your own food.
