The Pros and Cons of Raising Chickens

Some great points and links. My biggest thing for owning chickens is time and commitment. Building coops and runs can take time and cost money. Cleaning and general day to day care can be time consuming and illnesses may mean a trip to the vet which costs money. Commitment goes without saying. Once you have chickens they are YOUR responsibility.

Yes, there can be downsides to chickens. One for me is the fact that my dogs LOVE chicken poop. But the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
