I am pretty new to chickens. I started out with 17 nearly spent hens, Rhode Island Reds, Red Sex Links, a dark Cornish, a Speckled Sussex and a couple unidentified ones.
I added 5 Cuckoo Maran hens and 1 Cuckoo Maran rooster and 5 Red Sex Links, all at 5 or so months (in September 2010) with a couple laying small eggs already.
I also have 5 unidentified ones that I was told are hens and my rooster thought that they were too. They are big, tall birds and they have feathers down one side of their legs to their feet. It turns out so far that one is a rooster .
This is the coop on wheels - that's a trailer under the coop, I used the blocks to level it and make it sturdy. I can hook it to my quad and pull it anywhere I want.

This is my Dark Cornish and her coloring is very pretty.

I have no idea what these below are (someone told me he thinks they are EE rosters, but my Cuckoo Maran roo thinks some of them are girls).
The one on the left is a rooster for sure. See the feathers on the feet? I think they are cross bred Langshan and Wyandottes; just not sure what else.

RIP my RRR below or maybe that should be DIP (Digest in Peace). On the right is my Langshan hen.
