Hello, my name is Jill and I am new to chicken raising and really enjoying myself! We have 7 chicks...2 Buff Orpingtons, 1 Sicilian Buttercup, 1 Barred Rock, 1 Crevecour, 1 Gold Cochin, and one Light Brahma . They are keeping my family very entertained. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have two daughters and a great husband. He built a wonderful coop with a run with some help from his father, who thinks we're a little crazy to have chickens, I think.
The chickens are growing so fast that it seems like everyday they are bigger than the day before. I can't wait to see their first eggs!
