Here is the coop. It's the medium size from Roots Coops and More. We bought it as an unfished kit and painted it. We also added insulation inside and underneath to help wiith the cold winters.
I originally wanted Welsummer chickens. I bought an incubator and beautiful eggs from Whitmore Farm. Four chicks hatched - they were all boys. I'm keeping one rooster and I purchased four more "consolation" EE hens from the feed store. Their names are Rose, Dorothy, Blanche, Sophia and Stan.
Here's the four boys (three will be re-homed soon), and my favorite rooster. They are seven weeks old in these photos.
