We are new chicken people.
We live in the city and built a coop and pen in our back yard.
We have gotten away with this for two years and our neighbors don't complain. We also give them eggs.
We have two pullets and two bantams, all hens.
One of our bantams, Henny Penney, was broody so we got eggs from a local farmer.
Henny Penney immediately and faithfully sat on the eggs and we now have 3 chicks. She is an excellent mother, defending her hodgepodge of chicks.
We have no idea what they are because the eggs came out of different nests on the farm.
The peeps are doing beautifully, bringing us much joy and many laughs.
I love this websight and hearing about other people's chickens.
