Additional Information | Section 91.17. Building Structures for Domestic Animals. Subd. 1. Enclosed areas or fence for domestic animals require a cement floor to be kept clean, and the area to be fenced not to exceed seventy-two (72) inches high and not less than four (4) feet from property line and must have a top so animals cannot get out. Subd. 2. Enclosed fence areas over one hundred (100) square feet require a fence permit. Subd. 3. Any animal house over one hundred (100) square feet requires a building permit. Subd. 4. A maximum of two (2) licensed dogs with a litter less than three (3) months old are allowed per residential property. More than two (2) dogs and/or three (3) other domestic animals requires a change in land use and/or approval from the City Council, except in agricultural zones. |
