My chicks are 4-6 weeks old and I love having chickens already. One partridge silkie chick, four Easter Egg chicks. I'm pretty sure three of the four Easter Eggers are roos. But, I guess that will make room for the Blue Cochin I have my eye on. I am building my own coop. It has turned into an art project as well as an attempt at a funcitonal coop. People in my neighborhood are craning their necks to get a look at what I'm building. I've seen foot traffic increasing around my backyard. I'm only two miles from downtown Austin but I know there are others.
