Who is Laying.....and Who is Not? Butt Check!

Thanks so much! I will try this out!
Great article! I now know my two Jackies are laying!
I only have two hens. Julie, EASTER Egger, Jill, Silver laced Wyandotte. Julie had vent glute. Is recovered. Both stopped laying for about two months now. Jill is molting. My rooster, Cocoa is a copper Silkie. They’re all about 4 years old.
Fantastic info, well written.

This is excellent information and explains why I sometimes get double yolk eggs!
Great with explaining exactly what to look for! Thank you! Bookmarking this for future reference and sharing. :)
This is one of the more informative and helpful articles on chickens I have seen and I’ve had chickens for years and years. Now if you could tell me why my first and best layer has recently
started dropping her eggs from the roost!
Thank you

Excellent video! Well done and I appreciate the time you took to teach us. Your birds look great!!

Do you always separate a bird that is getting pecked??
Have a great day!
Very informative and great pictures of exactly what he is doing.
Thank you - great article, very informative.
So very informative and inclusive of details.
Excellent article and the video is super helpful.
So informative I love it. Thank you! I’m so new to this and needed a good explanation !
Very informative! Love the diagram.
Thank you so much for this article, I have 6 hens and am new to this whole thing. One of my girls just started laying and was acting weird, and seemed distressed, so it is reassuring to know that this can be normal when they first start laying. The video link was great, too. Please write more on any chicken issue if you have the time and inclination. Much Appreciated, Cheers!
Really well written and concise article about how to tell if your chickens are laying! You hear about gauging with your fingers but this provides clear instructions!
Since I am new to raising chickens, this information was a perfect learning moment. The short demonstration was very clear and understandable. The drawings were spot on. I definitely feel more comfortable about knowing when to start looking for eggs.
