History: When he was a week old, Rocket gave him over to his grandmother, Littledove to raise. He was always trying to prove himself to Rocket, thinking that she didn't want him because he wasn't good enough. When the red wings attacked and Rocket ran into the forest without even making sure that her family was safe, Huckleberry finally realized that he meant nothing to her. He traveled with Heron and Wren until they came upon Vaast flock, and ended up joining it.

Personality: Unfailingly loyal to where his heart is. Tenacious and steadfast- not one to give into heartstrings or bloodties. Respectful to his betters and will spend hours listening to a senior's rambling "tips" without a single complaint. Would die for his flock first, then ask questions later. Loves attacks on Norra Flock especially, but little does anyone know how much that facade of raging indifference to a spilt blood inwardly tears him up....

History: Fog grew up beneath the sheltering wing of his beloved mother. But once the Red-Shoulder Keepers invaded, his family and flock were brutally torn from their coop and tossed out into the sanctuary of the wilderness. His mother was lost in the attack and his father brutally stomped out of existence as he gave a heroic, but futile, attempt to attack the Keepers that had obliterated their lives. Shattered, Fog turned to his beloved brother and they grew up with eachother as their only true steadfast ally as they integrated into Vaast Flock.
Fog was utterly torn when Soot left in an inconsolable rage.
And Fog never speaks of that day- no matter what.

History: Blue has always been a fan of fighting, often resolving issues with violence before understanding. When his father died, he blamed the Healer instead of admitting that there was nothing that could've been done. When his beloved sister, Morningstar, died, Blue was furious. She had drowned in a river on Sodra territory, and yet no Sodra chicken had tried to save her. Blue tried to convince Steel that Sodra flock had killed Morningstar, and that they should wage war on them. Steel just brushed him off, telling him the death of Morningstar was an unfortunate accident. Blue tried to confide in his sister, but found that she seemed distant and didn't seem particularly excited about a war against Sodra. Blue soon started talking to other chickens, a few of them rogues, who encouraged him to start plotting against the flocks.

Description: Gray with black spots, a long scar on her wing from a fox that never grew feathers over it.
Personality: Snappy, very sarcastic, can be moody, she will rage on the inside and give an angry glare on the outside, or she might rage inside and out. Smart, knows how to use bad things to her vantage, she would rather not use you, but if you are evil and in her way, she will use you in a heartbeat. Skilled in almost everything, from faking care for others, fighting, guarding, to taking care of chicks, her brothers, and her flock. River has a silver-tongue that rarely slips or fails her, and she knows how to use that. Her fiery temper isn`t limited to loners and other flocks, she will verbally attack her own flock-mates if you give her enough reason, but she usually only gives you half of what she wants to say. She hasn`t opened up to anyone yet since her sister`s death. She has a deep disgust for her mother, who never really cared for her, River most of the time considers her and her brothers raised by themselves, and she also blames Midnight for the way Blue turned out, believing that if she would have taken the time to raise them, he might be a different bird. Secretly misses her father because he showed her more love than Midnight, even if he didn`t say 'I love you' all the time, but she would never admit that she misses him.
River does have a honorable nature to her too though.
She never really shows half her personality to other chickens.
Secretly she griefs for her sister Morningstar and her best friend Rain, but she wouldn't tell most chickens that.
River usually keeps her fiery temper under a lid.
Don`t ever giver her a reason to let loose.

History: Her mother never really took care of her and her brothers, which may be the reason Blue and River turned out the way they did. She in turn never really loved Midnight. She had a best friend named Rain, the two were as close as sisters, and this friendship lasted until they became Ground-Guards. And with a fox's strike, it was all over. She escaped with just a scarred wing, while Rain never took another breath. And she hates herself for that, for surviving. Soon after her father died from an illness. Horrified she- more or less- closed herself off from everyone but her two smaller and kinder siblings, Morningstar and Night.
But then Morningstar drowned, and River's life shattered again. She had lost her best friend, her father, and her sister so close together. Then Blue got worse, he was angry and she understood. She was too, but she didn't want war yet.

Personality: loyal, friendly, caring.
History: Storm was traded when he was a young cockerel, because of his comb not being fully black. if his owner would have kept him, he would be in Norra flock with his siblings. He doesn't like how the brothers have split up, and wishes he could get involved but never stepped in, thinking he would upset his leader, and be punished for sticking his beak in other chicken's business. Storm wants to lead one day, if one of the brothers die. When he was a cockerel he would play with Ginger, Hercules, Steel, and Bolt but later started talking with other chickens, and made other friends. He still thinks of the siblings as friends, but is shy around them, knowing their power.

History: "Run Egret!!!", an Australorp hen squaked as a large hawk made another dive at the chickenyard. "Momma!", cried Egret, "Momma c'mon!"
Egret's father had sounded the danger call only moments before the hawk made it's first dive. Egret and his siblings quickly ran for cover, Egret made it safely but unfortunately his siblings were picked up in each of the hawk's icy talons. The hawk flew away for a few hours, most likely to devour Egret's siblings. Egret's mother was under the shade of a shrub clucking sorrowfully. "Momma... Where's sister and brother?", Egret cheeped. "They're gone, Egret...", his mother clucked looking down at an ant on the ground. "That hawk will pay.", Egret cheeped hoarsefully. Later that evening the hawk struck again and took his mother. Egret's father was fell into a deep depression and just started wandering and never returned. Heartbroken Egret trained as best he could that day to become a Sky-Guard to prevent such torture from ever falling onto the shoulders of any chick ever again.

She didn't even blink an eye when Huckleberry muttered that Rocket had simply sped away into the forest without looking back.

She became one of Maple's first friends and also one of the founding pillars of Vaast Flock. Zitkala grew deeply unhappy and unsatisfied when she saw her friend's chicks rebel against eachother and branch out into their own flocks. For, somehow, she felt she had failed, even though she wasn't in any way related or in charge of the four siblings.

Turning back, Ash found that a Red-Shoulder had accidentally stepped on Fern and broken her leg. Terrified, the young pullet raced back and dragged her immobile mother to the steadily-increasing mass of fleeing chickens. The innumerable amount of birds terrified Ash even more and sent her reclusiveness off accelerating. When Vaast Flock began to form, Ash attempted to set aside all of the horrible past memories, but had little success doing so. Her dreams were haunted by fires, Keepers, and death. Ash's hardship was complete when her lame mother was snatched by a hawk. When the flocks split, Ash meekly followed a young cockerel from her old flock, Hawk, who now was her only remaining friend. She eventually found her knack for healing and graciously took on the role of healer, grateful to have a temporary distraction from her inner turmoil.

Upon conversing closely with a certain blue pullet, Hawk was able to derive enough information to go find his parents. The young group of chivkens, now down to four after losing two of their comrades to a preying Hawk, loyally trekked after Hawk. Hawk did eventually find his parents, but his father was already dying- pinned beneath a fallen board. Hawk got to say his greetings and goodbyes at the same time to the father he never knew. Taking his grief-stricken mother in tow, Hawk lead the way to Sodra Flock. Sadly, three more of his friends were taken by unknown night predators along the way, leaving Hawk, his best friend Ash, and his mother Fawn to commence their journey at Sodra Flock. Fawn died a few moths later due to overexhertion and a broken heart. Hawk, now deeply saddened, turned to the only ally he had left and became Ash's best friend.

Chicks: Basil (dead) Huckleberry, Wren, Heron, and Sparrow
History: Rocket lived happily in a small flock of bantams with her sister, mother, and father. She was devastated one day to find that her beloved father had been killed in the middle of the night by a weasel. During her period of grief, a rooster named Pointy showed outstanding kindness and friendship towards her. She soon became mates with Pointy, hatching out a clutch of four chicks. Then, when it seemed that her life had returned to the peace and happiness it once was, Pointy was murdered by a cockerel who was too eager to fight. Rocket went into another bout of grief, but this time, there was someone to blame. Late during the night, Rocket returned to her coop with blood on her claws. The cockerel that had killed Pointy was found dead in the forest the next morning.
She was never the same after that.
Rocket turned over her week-old chicks to Littledove, who raised them with great care, but was unable to save poor Basil when she died of a genetic defect. Rocket outwardly blamed Littledove for Basil's death, but inwardly she blamed herself for handing over her chicks instead of raising them herself.
As Rocket slowly drifted away from her own family, she started developing a friendship with a slightly younger rooster called Chestnut. He was understanding and charming, and Rocket soon fell in love. After much urging from Chestnut, she started sitting on a small clutch of eggs. Hazel instantly volunteered to help her, and Rocket grudgingly accepted. The pair were one day from the hatch date of the eggs when tragedy struck Rocket once again. She was foraging in the woods when she heard the sound of battle back at her nest, and though she ran as fast as she could, she was just a few seconds too late to save Chestnut, who had sacrificed himself in order to save Rocket's eggs. Hazel had been fatally wounded by the predator, and when Rocket got there she was just in time to hear her sister's last words. Filled with grief, and rage at herself for being too late, Rocket abandoned the chick that had just hatched to die, because it reminded her too much of her failure to save the ones that mattered most to her.
Rocket watched, from a distance, as Littledove raised Sparrow, her last connection to her sister and Chestnut. Despite her regrets, she refused to even interact with the chick, feeling it would be too painful. When the red wings came, she dashed out of the coop and never looked back. She soon found herself in the middle of Oster territory, and boldly confronted the first chicken she saw. When she realized that Sparrow had also joined Oster, she didn't know whether to be annoyed or relieved.

All attempts at making friends failed, he was abused, emotional hurt, and neglected. Pidge often feels the need to always speak his mind, and formed a bit of an attitude because of this. Also, this resulted in him becoming reserved when it comes to loving or caring too much about others, although all too often his loving/caring side of him is too strong to ignore. And finally after everything bad he'd gone through in his life, he had found a caring home at Oster flock.

History: One lonely night, Sunny stood alone under her favorite tree. The whispering wind sent shivers through her as the wispy gray clouds covered the silvery moonbeam as it fell across her back. Her mother, MoonBeam, came up behind her, startling her.
“My time has come daughter. But I wanted to bless you before I left.”
Anxiously, Sunny sat beside her mother on the warm mossy rock. “I didn’t think it would be so soon. I wanted you to see what would become of me.”
“Oh daughter. I would love to. But I’ll be watching you from above. Now, you shall be the nurturer of new life, bringing it forth on this earth to grow our breed and our pride. Each of your first babies will be beautiful, golden silver, with black lacing. Be proud of them and raise them well, for many more shall come.” With that, MoonBeam got up, and went to see her other children. That evening, she died.
Her family mourned her, but they knew she had always been happy, and would not want them to be sad. So they picked up the pieces of life, and went on.
Sunny had three beautiful chicks, all a golden silver, and she became an excellent broody, just as her mother had promised.

History: Her parents were feral. She was only days old when skunks attacked and killed both her parents, and Oster flock found them. Hercules named her Bigmamma because she always took care of her sisters and because she was the largest.
Later on she and her sister, Dove, were walking in camp, and a hawk attacked, killing Dove. She saw the hawk kill her just feet away from her and she now secretly grieves for Dove, and is angry that the Sky-Guards didn`t alert them.
Other: Secretly doesn`t like Hercules because he said he would stop chickens from attacking Tiny, but he never did. Quietly doesn`t like most Sky-Guards because she blames them for not doing their jobs and alerting her and Dove of the hawk, which ended up killing Dove.

History: Misty used to be the sole beloved pet of a little girl Keeper, whom Misty adored. But a kind old goose saw the tiny hen floundering and pulled her out of her watery prison. The goose became Misty's mentor to the wild life and also her best friend. They were eachother's flock and therefore adapted to the other's ways- Delilah figured out how to teach Misty to swim by giving her a giant leaf, and Misty taught Delilah how to forage in the undergrowth for bugs like a chicken. Each saved the other innumerable times from deadly situations. But fate is cruel; Delilah was taken in the middle of the night by a guile wolf on one of the nights she slept in the woods with Misty. Heartbroken once again, Misty flew off to the multitude of chickens she knew had banded together and established herself as a Senior in Oster Flock, too tired and worn to even attempt to take on the duties of a young hen. Every night she is haunted in her sleep by her beloved friend's death screams..
