I currently have four Bantam hens, they are almost a year old. I ordered 8 Rhode Island Red pullets, they will be in next week. I am going to keep the chicks in the house for awhile. How old ang big do the new chicks need to be before I put them in with my Bantams?
 
Point of lay, which is around 20 wks or until your new girls are equal in size to your older hens.
