I don't usually write bad product reviews but I absolutely despise this turd.
1. It leaks. All the time. The water slowly goes down and because the reservoir doesn't seal tight to the base.
2. It has a plug to pull...
This if managed right could supply roughly 4 servings of meat cuts per person per week, providing roughly 30 grams of protein per serving. I took out all the shavings and replaced with new.
Her stomach is incredibly distended/bloated/fat, and neither my vet or myself can figure out why. It’s concerning me because her little butt drags on the ground, which is unusual for a runner— I’ve yet to find a picture of one as “chubby” as she is.
Her belly feels hard and often develops bald patches. It doesn’t seem to bother her, but something doesn’t...

My Russian Orloff has always been bossy and headstrong. She even gets into fights and attacks with her feet.

She has been slow to develop, and her comb is just turning into a red little cushion.

Recently, I caught her [possibly] mounting/mating another smaller hen.
She hasn't officially started laying yet...

Is she a lady? I've always thought she was. But I have cockerel paranoia.
My oldest one is about 6 weeks old, and she has been making some weird noises. She is starting to get her "big girl" voice. Now, though, when she is resting she makes this weird honk-hum noise. It is hard to describe, but it sounds like she is snoring, only she is wide awake. She ONLY does it when she is relaxed and sitting. If she is up and walking around...
How long can they go without rotating them?
I went out, usually I rotate them every 3 hours. I put them their 5 days before.
They're developing as well, but I was out for the whole day and had no one to rotate them, so I just took the chance and hoped when I get home nothing would happen or affect their births later on?
Would anything happen? I left home at 10am and came back 9pm. Only time I rotated them was when I was leaving the house?

I have made them a very cheap, very roomy cage by cutting a few windows in the front, back and lid of a $14 120 qt sterilite storage tub and attaching bird cage panels for ventilation, and they love the room. They have some silk vines for cover, several tubes to run over/on and a dark nest box with three entrances full of hay that, with a lot of luck, I hope to encourage natural nesting with but that's further down the...
I spent a great deal of time daily cleaning her vent. The other birds seemed to realize something was wrong with her. As an adult hen that lays beautiful eggs, she has an unusual relationship with me. She actually prefers me to the other hens. She is in the middle of the pecking order. Her affection is quite noticeable. If she sees me or hears my voice I...
