1 week after arrival, he can now sit up, but keeps his legs straight out in front of him. he eats & drinks with gusto, poops fine, but can't bend his legs like the pullets in the next pic do at rest. also. note that he still looks like a day old chick, whereas the pullets are getting their big girl wing & tail feathers.

more "roo" aerobics. i do squats and knee bends and balancing with him inhopes to strengthen his leg muscles.

after a few days of watching him decline, i started him on "protein shakes". hard boiled egg yolk, cat food, and electrolyte water blended into liquid form. he gets it 4 times a day. i also started doing "exercises" with him. helping him stand and move his legs. from what i can tell, it seems like one leg may be better and ok, but his other one acts like it is either paralyzed or atrophied to thepoint it won't work.

willie 3 days after he arrived. when we 1st got him he seemed healthy and dashed around with the pullets. he declined quickly. he eats & drinks, but i have to hold the food for him. he can't do anything but lie like this. he isn't in pain...no peeping or flinching. just still legs that won't support his weight .
