We had five Dark Cornish in a mixed flock of 25, but sold 16 one-year-old egg layers in prep for new pullets from our hatch. We kept Mamacita from Thedark Cornish group, she is the friendliest and the one broody we decided to let give settin/hatching a run. Mamacita had been broody all last winter, three times from Oct-Jan and in May she was given 8 eggs from our mixed flock to hatch, of which she successfully hatched and raised three chicks from. There is antiher album dedicated to her hatch and brood for spring 2015.
