My pretty little coop! The Garden Coop
Another view - door - and yes - padlock. We have a few curious children around and two bird dogs that are waiting for someone to forget to lock the door shut.
The egg door, accessible from the outside of the coop. We don't have roost or an nesting box yet. The hens are only 6-7 weeks old. They do have a roost in the run.
I still have to stain the rest of the coop walls. I ran out of stain. We used a gallon and did two coats on everything. I would recommend a total of 1.5 gallons.

Security. The screening is dug down to 14 inches underground, plus we added rocks around the entire coop to discourage digging. We have a fox den about 100 yards from the coop. We'll put him to the test.
The hen house large door - closed.
The right side of hen house. The door will be covered in the winter and we will move the food and water into the hen house. We may end up putting a second door on the side of the hen house so we can install an automatic door. We will put a board over the floor hole.
