homemade eggrolls. store bought won ton wrappers, lightly sautee carrots, cabbage and onion in pan with a drizzle of garlic and soy sauce.. wrap up and fry.. so good
Vegetable Egg Rolls
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 head of cabbage shredded
3 carrots, shredded
4-5 green onions [scallions] sliced
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp cornstarch
cooking oil for frying
optional ingredients, finely sliced mushrooms and ginger
cool water – to seal egg rolls
cook all ingredients in a wok or fry pan for 1-2 minutes.. veggies need to be just slightly wilted.. place 2 tablespoons on the egg roll wrapper. wrap. diagram should be on wrapper. water seals the edges.. in a skillet, heat 1 - 2 inches of oil.. i don't go too deep, as i flip the egg roll.. heat till brown.. doesn't take long.. drain and eat.. YUM
